The Club and Spa

To provide a new relaxation suite and external space adjoining the already prestigious and award winning Club and Spa based at Congresbury in Bristol. The works started in the Autumn moving into the winter in preparation for a New Year opening which attracted its own challenges in terms of weather during the intricate foundation and ground works package. The new relaxation suite was built as a timber frame with steel structure with a Webber insulated render system externally and a Sika 15year warranty flat roof system over. Internally high specification tiled finishes were provided with top performance underfloor heating and mechanical ventilation and cooling to ensure absolute ambient temperatures were created for the users. J Projects retained a contractors design portion for the Mechanical and Electrical works. Outside a new sauna and recessed hot tub were installed to the newly created decked area all served discreetly via the new plant room. A new glass balustrade was installed to the perimeter and the area finally landscaped to provide its finishing touches. As planned, the relaxation suite opened in time for the New Year and remains a popular feature of the Club and Spa.
